The Heart That Hurts

God enters the heart broken with sorrow,

He spreads a ray of sunshine on each tomorrow

The wounds of others we can feel,

As God gives us hope to help us heal.

That we might help another on life's way,

Sharing God's love with a hug or something to say.

Losing a loved one can be hard to bear,

But, God in His mercy shows us He cares.

We do not have to bear the burden alone,

Through God's love His peace is shone.

God mends the heart of those who weep,

When tears are shed at His feet.

He fills the heart with sunshine again,

Given time the heart will mend.

For only through tears can we recognize pain,

The heart that hurts will heal again.

God knows where we are in every circumstance of our life. No matter what we are going through. He loves us so much. He desires for us to draw close to Him. In His presence we can find peace and refuge. Through His touch we can experience a healing from all the hurts we have. Knowing this, we can embrace the sunshine once again.
